摘要
This paper shows how surface-treated rice hulls are proving their performance as fillers in polyolefins and offering extra benefits in weight reduction, stiffness, reduced warpage and shrinkage, lower cycle times and decreased melting temperatures - plus some blowing/foaming functionality. Properties of plastics products injection molded from rice hulls-filled polypropylene are tabulated and discussed. Applications are illustrated.
