摘要：

Following a brief outline of the causes of NO//x emissions from tank furnaces used in the glass industry, the author mentions the emission limits applying to recuperative and regenerative tank and pot furnaces and discusses the influence of air ratio and air preheating on the emission of NO//x. The various possibilities to reduce NO//x emissions from tank furnaces by primary measures are outlined. In conclusion the author deals with secondary measures giving preference to thermal or catalytic reduction by ammonia.
