摘要
The computer industry which have grown into the largest product and service sector has recently been undergoing restructuring directed toward low-cost, low-margin systems. Another change which is also taking into effect is the movement away from a technology-oriented industry to a marketing-oriented industry. Hence, for the current players to achieve long-term survival, factors such as re-evaluation of the company value chain, re-engineering of the firm as well as replacement of the old culture following a new business model based on new products and services must be put into serious consideration. It is expected that the tremors of change will increase in magnitude for the next three years. This study emphasizes the future of these changes.
