摘要：
The first report regarding investigations into hot water quenching of wire rod appeared in literature in 1942, the aim being to reduce roll scale and improve the drawing property. The substitution of hot water quenching for lead patenting of steel wires began in 1966. The hot water quenching of steel wires has been explored in detail by the author of this article.
