Preliminary application of SKC-B computerized logging system in Dagang Oilfield

SKC-B Computerized Logging System is fitted with 100 kHz cable telemetry system. Digital signal processing technique is used in its surface equipment. Among its downhole tools dual lateral logging tool, MSFL tool, high energy borehole compensated acoustic logging tool, long spacing acoustic logging tool, dipmeter, compensated neutron logging tool have their own distinctive features. Its software is flexible, easy to use and has strict control over its downhole tools. Its winch is hydraulic drive, being smooth, expedient and reliable to operate. The System was put into logging service and made logs from nine wells from Oct. 1, 1998 to Nov. 3, 1998. For every trip, it succeeded at one stroke and the quality of all the logging data is up to the mark. Excellent logs account for more than 95%. Application result shows that SKC-B Computerized Logging System is very efficient in oil and gas exploration of Dagang Oilfield.
