摘要
The future outlook and challenges for smelting aluminum are discussed. The aluminum industry has continued to use a fairly common base of technology, although with some divergent designs and has steadily advanced through incremental improvements and applications of advanced knowledge. Many of the advancements have been aided by the service industries that have developed around it, producing quality materials of construction and building speciality equipment to help minimize the impact of secondary problems or labour demands. It is found that when a cost breakdown is carried out for the production of aluminum, the method of performing the breakdown is strongly influenced by the motives of the analysts.
