摘要
The importance of the air-gap permeance on predicting and designing switched reluctance motors (SRMs) is presented and different methods of permeance evaluation are discussed. Performance prediction and design methods for SRMs are reviewed and their advantages and drawbacks are pointed out. Finally, a possible design and performance prediction method based on the permeance method is suggested.
