Monolithic voltage/frequency converters represent one of the simplest methods of digitizing analog signals. If one applies the principles of control engineering, especially signal feedback to the input, it is possible to minimize the error. A feedwork arrangement is described in which there are tow measuring phases providing a five-decade display for the measuring duration of 100 s.
