摘要
Several types of corrosion occurring in TIG-welding of austenitic stainless steels and potential countermeasures have been studied. It has been found that particularly pitting corrosion is difficult to prevent even if the root side of the weld is gas-shielded. This type of corrosion appears to be caused by oxides which are formed in welding with insufficient gas shielding of the root.
