摘要
This paper presents the process to design machined parts and forgings for golf heads of titanium alloy by using a parametric CAD method. The major considerations of design for forging golf heads are characteristic geometry, mass properties and forging pressures. After part design, the representative cross sections of forging parts are translated into a forging force analysis program through the CAD/CAE interface. After confirmation of analysis or redesign, the geometry of a forging part is transformed into die geometry; therefore, the tool path simulation and NC code generation can proceed. The design methodology which belongs to concurrent engineering is successfully used for the machined part, forging part and die cavity development of golf head of titanium alloy. The procedures and results of computer-aided design, analysis and manufacturing are also discussed.
