Operating results obtained with a 3000 tpd rotary kiln plant equipped with preheater and planetary cooler are reported. Raw material components control with the aid of an X-ray fluorescence and mini-computer installation in conjunction with an automatic sampling station with pneumatic dispatch system is described. The operating performance of the planetary cooler is analyzed and simmarized.
