Johnson Matthey, manufacturer of platinum-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), has come out of its corner on pharmaceutical industry in past two years. It has bought Pharm-Eco, Meconic and Cascade Biochem. The Pharm-Eco acquisition suggests its activity into the highly competitive fullscale contract manufacturing and services market.
