STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATIONS AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF COMPLEX ALUMINIUM BRONZES.

There is only a small amount of systematic data available in the published literature concerning the transformation behavior and the mechanical properties of the most frequently used aluminum-bronze CuAl10Fe5Ni5. Suitable investigations were therefore carried out on the following cast alloys: CuAl10. 5, CuAl10. 5Fe5, CuAl10. 5Ni5, CuAl10. 5Fe5Ni5. The laboratory results were matched approximately to the conditions applying in practice, basing on calculated estimations of the cooling curves associated with different wall thicknesses.
