摘要
An interactive system is described for the evaluation of alternatives in data base-design decisions. The structure of a proposed or existing data base is entered using data description statements. Then a designer can use various manipulation statements such as queries which will be simulated using analytic or stochastic models. The results are then displayed to the designer to allow him to make decisions on design alternatives.
