摘要
Equipment with 12-end take-up positions is now being offered by Barmag AG, Germany, for producing flat yarns of polyester and polyamide. A core component is a take-up unit, facilitating yarn package weights of 10 kg (for PET) or 8 kg (for PA). Between 5-10% conversion cost reductions can be achieved using a 12-end system as against an 8-end production machine. Two factors are noted which have been crucial to this development. The first factor (fast and secure handling with minimal wastage) involves the new compact yarn feeding device with three functions: thread guiding prior to the first godet, migration nozzle and cutting/exhausting. The second (smooth yarn run) is achieved using a multi-surface godet, functioning as a spinning godet. The processing method is explained. A particular design feature of the 12-end PA system is the main tangling which has now been advantageously changed. The good winding characteristics of the ACW winder (pictured) also contribute to an optimal package formation.
