This paper demonstrates that visual inspection methods are not only suitable for quality control during the production and mounting of printed circuits but in many cases are a prerequisite for attaining the stipulated standard of quality. This article describes the use of stereomicroscopes by a manufacturer of printed-circuit boards for quality control purposes.
