摘要：

This paper presents the concept that the tapered microwave anechoic chamber is a general configuration from which other configurations can be visualized by imposing specific restrictions on the taper angle. Even within the range of critical taper angles, where the action of a tapered anechoic chamber accrues, the existence of other restrictions for the chamber to offer better performance than the rectangular anechoic chamber is dealt with. The effect of the source antenna directivity on the choice of the taper angle is highlighted.
