ELECTRONIC ABBREVIATED DIALING PROCESSOR IN THE 400 E TELEPHONE SYSTEM.

The abbreviated dialing processor is a PABX ″central dialing aid″ which automatically outpulses frequently requested call numbers (destinations) in response to abbreviated codes. It can be programmed with any number of destinations and serves to rationalize the outgoing traffic: working time is saved; the dialing of long call numbers is simplified; the occupation time of trunks is reduced, thus cutting the cost of telephone service. The range of application of the processor and the service features it offers are described.
