摘要
The department purchased several Wild T-2000 theodolites. By using the GRE3 Electronic Notebook in conjunction with the theodolites, the field portion of the survey could be automated. A limited number of the HP86B microcomputers, along with HP7586B roll plotters, were purchased. The volumes of Wild's software that were necessary to automate the location survey process included Volume C for surveying/ COGO; Volume D for data collection; Volume F for plotting; and Volume H for earthwork. The field crew can 'unload' the electronic notebook and review the data almost instantly. Information is loaded to and from the elctronic notebook using a standard RS-232 serial interface, except for recording from the theodolite, which is done with a single purpose interface cable. If the data looks good, a map can be generated the same day and reviewed before the field crew leaves work.
