摘要
The yield stress of 6061-T651 aluminum alloy at 260 C shows a large change for times-at-temperature between 10**2 to 10**6 seconds. Above and below these times-at-temperature relatively little change is observed. This yield stress increase with decreasing times-at-temperature has been shown metallographically to be due to a suppression of precipitate coarsening, that is, for long times-at-temperature, time exists for precipitate coarsening which softens the alloy.
