摘要
With economic growth, traffic congestion and associated energy and environment problems are becoming more and more worrisome. Taking the effect of traffic congestion on air pollution and energy consumption, this paper highlights some problems and trends of urban transport in Beijing, and discusses some of the possible solutions for improving the urban transport systems. Several options for reducing energy consumption and improving air quality are also proposed. © 1996 International Energy Initiative, Inc.
