摘要
Where a number of identical cavities are required, powdered metal and the sintering process offer definite advantages in reproducibility, shorten mold building time, and drastically cut cavity costs. This paper discusses design, materials and manufacturing techniques, called powdered metal (P/M) technology, in applications for producing molds for injection, compression and transfer molding. Steps in forming P/M parts are detailed, including injection and trials.
