US box plants consumed the same amount of containerboard in July 2000 as in the previous year according to the Fibre Box Association. The consumption as compared to recent months decreased as the shipping of containerboards slumped to its lowest of the whole year. Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.'s second largest liner board mill in Missoula, Montana, has taken a shutdown time for 32 days since 18th August.
