Photophysical and photochemical processes involving singlet oxygen have attracted an interest since the paper by H. Kautsky. Enhancement of the delayed fluorescence (DF) has been earlier discovered for dyes and aromatic hydrocarbons (AH) in polymers in the presence of molecular oxygen. In the present work, further studies are conducted on the mechanism of DF enhancement in 1,2-benzanthracene (1,2-BA), pyrene (Py), and anthracene (A) in polymer matrices of polyvinylbutyral (PVB), polystyrene (PS), and polyvinylchloride (PVC) in the presence of oxygen. Studies on DF from luminophore films were conducted in a low-temperature cryostat with an air pressure regulator. The delayed luminescence was excited by a IKF-150 lamp (electrical pumping energy 120 J) through a UFS-1 filter. Scattered excitation light was cut off by a high-speed chopper with holes.
