The adsorption and heat transfer performance of an adsorption working pair is important for adsorption desiccation or refrigeration systems. Its performance parameters are difficult to be decided, because the adsorption capacity and the thermal conductivity vary with the characteristics of the adsorption material, temperature, pressure and other factors. This paper concentrates on the experimental study of the adsorption and heat transfer performance of the zeolite-water adsorption pair such as maximum adsorption capacity, density, isobaric adsorption process and thermal conductivity. The relationship of the adsorbent temperature, pressure and adsorption capacity during a practical running is also given. The results show that the adsorption equilibrium of zeolite-water can be expressed with D-A equation and the thermal conductivity of zeolite increases with the increase of temperature and adsorption capacity.
