Glacial tills in Northern Canada have been increasingly employed as an exploration medium since 1970. Till exploration employs the principle that the tops of ore deposits that sub-crop beneath glacial overburden were exposed to the base of continental ice sheets, eroded, and dispersed in the till to form exploration targets that are much larger than the actual orebodies.
