Gram-Atom Volume and Photoinduced Variations of the Optical Properties of Samples of the As-Se System.

A study was made of photoinduced variations of the optical properties of Semiconducting glass samples of the As-Se system. It was established that the maximum photoinduced variations are observed at an arsenic concentration of about 60 at. %, i. e, for compositions in which an anomalous deviation of the density and average gram-atom volume from the additive concentration dependence occurs. It is shown that during variation of the composition of samples of the As-Se system photoinduced variations of the optical properties correlate with variations of the free volume of the compounds.
