The oil-recovery/volume-burned method can be used to make accurate engineering and economic evaluations for the design and monitoring of in-situ combustion projects. An algorithm based on this method is presented to provide a quick estimate of the oil recovery, air/oil ratios, oil rates, and economic limits of in-situ combustion projects.
