EFFECT OF SCOPE CHANGES ON SCHEDULE: A SYSTEMS APPROACH.

Large engineering-construction projects are often affected by numerous changes which result in a deleterious effect on the project schedule. Many of these changes are of such a nature that, when analyzed singularly, they do not appear to have a significant impact; however, their cumulative effect can be devastating to the plan. Classical methods of CPM analysis often fail to adequately measure such an effect. This paper attempts to quantify and offer a step-by-step approach in measuring such changes.
