Application of pseudorandom binary sequences of length 2p to transfer function measurements

The problem of transfer function measurement in wide frequency range is successfully solved in the paper: pseudorandom binary sequences (PRBS) are applied to a linear system under investigation. The PRBS have been analyzed as periodic trains of pulses. A modification of the known measuring method is presented. It is based on the applicable of a modified PRBS of length 2p instead of the commonly used maximum length of sequences amounting to 2p - 1. Some practical results of the measurements made with this method are quoted.
