摘要
In order to prevent too rapid ageing, polyethylene sheets are protected against light by a system based on UV absorbant, inhibitors, hydrogen peroxide decomposing agents and radical scavengers. The main agent responsible for this degradation is the UV radiation in sunlight which varies according to the angle of incidence of the radiation on Earth. Since this angle of incidence depends on the geographical location in which the sheet is used, it is necessary to manufacture 'custom made' stabilized master batches according to the application. It is possible to stabilize these polyethylene sheets in order that they effectively fulfil the function required.
