摘要
Between their manufacture and their use as binders for foundry sands, resins undergo a natural evolution, primarily a function of time, that consists of gradual polymerization. This is aging. In this article, the authors investigate the signs of this aging and its repercussions on the properties of the molds or cores in which the resins are used. The behavior of phenolic and furan resins is very different, as are the factors that influence aging.
