摘要
A measurement technique is presented which is suitable for transfer function determination of multimode optical fibers in the time domain. A laboratory setup, its parts and an evaluation method of transfer function from fiber impulse response are described. The effect of launching and detection conditions on measurement reproduciblity of PCS (plastic-clad-silica) fibers is discussed. Results of experimental investigation of fiber bandwidth as a function of fiber length and ambient temperature are included.
