UK printers to spend less

UK printers are curtailing capital expenditure with 33% having plans to reduce investment in plant and machinery this 2000 and only 27% expecting to spend more. The main purpose of expenditure is to replace existing equipment with more efficient machinery. A close second is, however, to install plant to use materials more effectively. It will reinforce moves by the industry to curb stock:output ratios.
