This is the third, and last, article in a series dealing with subway environment. This article describes the type of ventilation and cooling system employed in past and present subway systems. Experiences with existing systems and design concepts for new systems, such as the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) are used as examples in this article.
