摘要
A simply constructed nitrogen laser with transverse pumping and peak power of 1. 3 MW at a wavelength of 3371 A is described. The laser working volume is 30 multiplied by 2 multiplied by 0. 6 cm and the entire laser is 60 multiplied by 40 multiplied by 7 cm. The high power density (36 kW/cm**3) and small dimensions are achieved by use of a dual shaper line power supply system.
