摘要
The Ti//3X-phase is found to be an important factor influenced the thermal stability of Ti alloys. The tendency towards precipitation and growth of the Ti//3X-phase may be described as the effect of the value of electron concentration. The kinetics of the embrittlement process of the alloys dependent on the exposure temperature and time has been confirmed. By taking three factors into account, namely the electron concentration, operating temperature and service time, a permissible electron concentration, N OVER BAR //p, may be ascertained as a criterion for the thermal stability of an alloy. The criterion can be employed as the standard of quality control for alloy production and in new alloy design.
