Implosion behavior of plastic capsules filled with DT gas has been investigated numerically using two different approximations for the radiative transfer equation coupled with energy equations of electron and ion. The effects of the non-equilibrium radiative transfer and opacity on the implosion of capsule are given. © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
