摘要
This paper describes the process for assessing the reliability of discrete passive components used in the CS-3 domestic communications satellite. To realize highly reliable components, conformance inspection tests were conducted according to the newly-introduced test guidelines, and materials were replaced as necessary; improved assembly techniques were also introduced. Also, accelerated life tests of more than 10,000 hours were conducted, an an improved manufacturing process was introduced. Irradiation tests to 10**6 Rad(Si) total dose were conducted, and no shield requirement was indicated.
