Intra-company environmental information systems

Information systems as aids for ecologically orientated decision-making. The recording and organization of data relating to material and energy flows in a company is one of the aids towards decision-making. However, the most frequently used environmental information systems used to this end merely support decision-making at operational level. A functional expansion of such systems by means of a decision component is necessary in order to be also able to include the tactical and strategic levels.
