摘要
On the basis of the governing differential equations by the variational principles, the finite beam element for analyzing the shear lag effect of box girders is proposed. The element has two degrees of freedom at each node to fit various boundary conditions and all types of loading conditions including concentrated bending moments. The generalized shear lag displacement vector is defined, taking into account the effect of concentrated bending moments on shear lag of box girders. The shear lag coefficient matrix is deduced according to the boundary conditions of the element. The continuous conditions of generalized shear lag displacements in structural system analysis are used to develop the generalized load vector under the effect of concentrated bending moments. The shear lag coefficients of simply supported, cantilever and continuous box-girder beams under different types of loading are analyzed. The results obtained by using the proposed method are in good agreement with those using the analytical method.
