Women working in the woods

The field of mechanized logging is continually providing opportunities for more women in the jobs that are predominantly male. Four women were chosen at random, who are working at jobs which are male dominated, where two are loggers, one is a heavy equipment operator and former bush pilot, and the other is a field forester. The women became owner of Butler Forest Products, Inc. and its trucking arm, J & J Trucking, and two of them went through the Master Logger Program and their company has been certified. Most people have come to accept men and women in any role, but there are still a few who are uncomfortable with women doing traditionally male jobs.
