摘要
Multi-phase annular brushless exciter is widely used in large-capacity nuclear power units. The realization of reliable protection for internal faults of the exciters is of great significance to the safe operation of nuclear power generating units. Owing to the rotating armature structure of the multi-phase annular brushless exciter, the fault of rotor armature winding cannot be monitored directly. However, it is an effective way to monitor the fault according to the response characteristics of the fault in the stator field windings. In the nuclear power multi-phase annular brushless exciter, the magnetomotive force generated by the rotor winding and stator winding and their interaction in the air gap magnetic field are analyzed theoretically under normal operation and rotor winding short-circuit conditions. Accordingly, the harmonic characteristics of the stator field current and rotor armature current were obtained. Experiments under these two conditions were then carried out in armature windings on an 11 phase dynamic model machine. The harmonic characteristics of the experimental current were obtained by fast Fourier analysis. The experimental results were consistent with the theoretical analysis. This method is suitable for analyzing any type of rotor winding short-circuit fault characteristics of any nuclear power multi-phase annular brushless exciter, and can be applied to further study on short-circuit fault diagnosis of rotor windings. © 2020, Electrical Technology Press Co.
