The MicroBusiness column in the IEEE Microwave Magazine enables its members to effectively reach and involve interested MTT-S members and nonmember business representatives from the microwave industry to focus on outsourcing and topics resonating with the membership. Assuring sufficient spectrum for future applications is a prime microwave business issue along with competitiveness around which BWA systems development and standardization revolve in fixed, mobile, and nomadic applications. The resolution of these issues with MTT-S proactive action program will significantly have a big impact on the industry. MTT-S also aims to attract and involve key personnel from microwave business companies who do not see themselves as the members of the microwave community for their different technological base. The MicroBusiness column also addresses many more microwave business issues of concern to the society and warmly welcomes contributions, comments and suggestions.
