Numerical analysis on physical model of muzzle blast wave

摘要
The point explosion and muzzle precursor flow were simulated numerically in order to analyze the physical characteristics of muzzle blast wave. Using Roe/HLL method, the shock instability caused by second-order Roe format was eliminated. The numerical result of precursor flow field coincides well with the experimental shadowgraph. The wave front and overpressure peak contour-lines of point explosion blast wave and precursor blast wave were obtained. On this basis, the distribution and attenuation characteristics of them were discussed. The result shows that the muzzle blast wave is the variable-energy sphere-shape blast wave, and its center moves along the axis with a decreasing speed.
