Results of the study of the influence of ultra-violet radiation on the content of chlorophyll a, on the potential photosynthetic activity, and on the intensity of oxygen production by phytoplankton of water bodies of various types are given in the paper. The response of freshwater plankton algae to the influence of UV-radiation was revealed. © 2010 Begell House, Inc.
