摘要
A discussion covers how the Nokia Siemens Network Liquid Radio with its architecture frees the grid from its conventional limitations and develops the capacities where they are the most urgently needed. While grid operators search for ways to handle the increasing flood of data driven by data hungry applications, to keep pace Nokia Siemens Network has developed its liquid radio. Topics of the discussion cover introduction; ongoing challenges for the grid operator; the solution: The radio becomes fluid; more efficient use of resources in the base band processing; the mobile radio network becomes more unified; mobile radio antennas become active; a new module promises more permanence and flexibility; and more flexibility and capacity in the future. Analysis indicates that the mobile data traffic in 2015 will have grown to 43 Ebytes. The Asia-Pacific area has the most mobile broad band subscriptions followed by West Europe and North America. Smart devices and laptops generate the highest amount of data.
