Unsteady gas flow effect analysis of spinning solid rocket motor

摘要
The cause of coning instability about the last stage in the process of small satellite launching is analysed. The moment model of unsteady gas flow is introduced into the satellite movement equation. Actual satellite parameters are calculated. The results show that lateral disturbance moment resulting from unsteady gas flow is the main cause of coning instability. When the effect of lateral disturbance moment exceeds the jet damping moment, the coning instability will appear. If the solid rocket motor stopped before the lateral disturbance moment rapidly increasing, the coning instability will not increase to result in the satellite destabilization. The analysis result can provide reference for the design of the spinning solid rocket motor.
