摘要
In addition to the geometry, the functionality of the component can also be adjusted on the basis of process planning by means of targeted subsurface influence in the machining process. Deformation-induced martensite transformation during the turning process provides hardening in the subsurface while maintaining ductility in the core of the component. Moreover, the surface roughness influences the component properties. The possibilities and limitations for simultaneous adjustment of both target variables through tailored process parameters selection are presented. © 2022, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co. KG.
