Modeling and simulation of air separation motion of submarine-launched missile

Aiming at requirements of the thermal separation scheme of carrier, axial ejection separation model and mathematical air-motion model of combination of missile and carrier were set up. Combined with interior trajectory analysis, interior and exterior trajectory was coupled and computed. Based on three separation-schemes with different gas-throttle diameters, air-separation motion characteristic of combination of missile and carrier was simulated and studied. The simulation result shows that: the scheme that gas-throttle diameter is 0.1 m is the safest separation scheme within the limitations of missile's maximum permissible overload; the final air-motion state of missile can be regarded as initial condition of missile's aerodynamic flight control mode. The result offers foundation for the complete ballistic layout of submarine-launched missile.
